Our Techniques

We use a number of highly-effective adjusting approaches to help improve spinal biomechanics and reduce nervous system interference. The approach we use is based on a variety of factors, largely guided by the results of our Insight Discovery Subluxation Station scan.

Insight Discovery Subluxation Station

The primary adjusting techniques we use include:

Spinography

A detailed, thorough radiographic analysis of each vertebral segments position.  Utilized to deliver the most accurate adjustment.

Gonstead

A style of chiropractic adjusting that focuses on the affected segments only.  Detailed x-ray analysis required.

Diversified

The most commonly known method of adjusting.  Most people feel or hear a “popping” when adjusted via this method”

Activator Methods

“The clicky thing” is how most described this technique.  An adjusting instrument is utilized and applied to the affected segments.  Leg length analysis is crucial to this technique.  It is very gentle, best for osteoporotic and pediatric patients”

Thompson

This technique utilizes table assisted drop segments.  The table is set to a tension point and when the doctor performs the adjustment, the table segment drops.  The drop helps facilitate the adjustment.  This is a very gentle technique.”

Everything in your body is connected to each other. A comprehensive, thorough exam will determine if you are a chiropractic candidate and let you know how your complaint may be affecting other areas of your body.

Tytron C-3000

The science of chiropractic is advancing.  The Tytron thermal scan helps locate fixated areas of your spine.  Fixated segments cause local tissues and nerves to become irritated.  The result is a bombardment of nervous system activity and inflammation.  The Tytron scan detects the temperature increase in these damaged segments.”

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is new to Krauza Family Chiropractic's Erie office.  Deep tissue, Swedish style, pregnancy, and other methods available on Wednesdays and Saturdays by appointment”

Dr Steve Asks some important questions of interest to Erie residents - Chiropractor Erie Dr Steve Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
Are chiropractors just concerned with the spine?
Our interest in the spine is because it covers the major communications conduit between your brain and your body. As a Erie chiropractor my job is to locate areas (usually along the spine) that interfere with proper nerve communications to and from your brain. Chiropractic adjustments help restore nervous system integrity. In this way, chiropractic care can affect the function of your entire body.
